Ad specs

IAB logoThe advertising spaces used in the Webs within the NetMediaEurope Network comply at all times with the standards and guidelines for online advertising published by the IAB (International Advertising Bureau). We only admit advertising formats approved by the IAB.

Maximum weight

A Working Group of the IAB is currently revising the worldwide standards for online advertising and drafting a document that will establish the recommended weight for each advertising format. Advertising formats

NetMediaEurope supports the following advertising formats:

  • Dart redirects for images and click-throughs
  • Textlinks with destination URL (click-through)
  • Images in .GIF format with a destination URL (click-through)
  • Flash formats, providing an alternative .GIF image is supplied for users that do not have Flash Reader installed in their computers, which include the click-tag variable implemented according to the guidelines laid down by DoubleClick;
  • Rich Media formats such as expandable banners, interstitials / layers and creatives that include video and/or audio, providing they comply with the standards established by the IAB for this type of advertising (*);
  • Redirect scripts provided by companies that serve Rich Media formats, for example Eyeblaster tags.

Z-index recommendations

To avoid problems with creatives that use overlay layers or expandable formats, we recommend that advertisers use:

  1. a z-index higher than 5,000 for any creative that involves an overlay layer (e.g. superstitial)
  2. a z-index between 1,000 and 4,999 for any creative that involves an expandable unit
  3. a z-index of 999 or less for any creative that does not involve either an overlay layer or expandable unit (e.g. normal leaderboard, MPU or sky banner).

Our adserver

Unless otherwise stated in the insertion order signed by the client and accepted by NetMediaEurope, any banner campaign served in the NetMediaEurope Network will be trafficked through our adserver, DartForPublishers (DFP) run by DoubleClick. As we state in the Terms & Conditions included in NetMediaEurope insertion orders, only the statistics of ad impressions served and clicks generated by our adserver will be used as proof of invoicing. We disclaim all responsability for any statistical variations in terms of ad impressions or clicks recorded between our adserver and the adservers of third parties used in redirect tags (for instance, DFA or Eyeblaster), given that both the programming of those adservers and the correct trafficking of any creative within those servers falls entirely outside of our control.

We guarantee full transparency with regard to the statistics generated by our adserver, and any advertiser or agency can receive their own access codes to DFP to follow their campaigns’ results in real time.

Elaboration of creatives

Our Sales and Technical Teams place themselves entirely at clients’ disposal in order to clarify any doubts they may have about how to optimize or configure creatives due to be trafficked in our Network. However, unless otherwise stated in the insertion order signed by the client and accepted by NetMediaEurope, NetMediaEurope will under no circumstances modify any creatives supplied by advertisers or undertake the task of designing or making banners.
